Three big names in indie rock music are coming to Central New York this summer.
Sharon Van Etten, Angel Olsen, and Julien Baker will perform at Beak & Skiff Apple Orchards in LaFayette, N.Y., on Aug. 16, 2022, as part of The Wild Heats Tour. Doors open at 5 p.m.; special guest Spencer will open the show at 7.
Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Eventbrite and DSP Shows. Prices are $50.50 in advance and $55 on the day of the show.
All attendees are required to show proof of Covid-19 vaccination or a negative PCR test (taken within 48 hours of the event) to enter. The policy is subject to change.
Van Etten is a singer-songwriter in the vein of Tori Amos and has also appeared on “The OA” and 2017′s “Twin Peaks.” Her 2019 album, “Remind Me Tomorrow,” was named one of the best of the year by Rolling Stone, NPR, Stereogum and The Guardian.
Olsen is known for her mix of art-pop, indie folk and alt-country music, as well as collaborations with artists like Mark Ronson, Bonnie “Prince” Billy, Jeff Ament and Van Etten.
Baker is an alt-rock singer-songwriter who performed with Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy dacus in the indie supergroup boygenius. American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. Her most recent solo album, “Little Oblivions,” was named one of the best of 2019 by The New York Times and Paste magazine.
No other stops in Upstate New York are currently scheduled on the tour, which will feature three very special individual sets of music “and a true experience from beginning to end.”
